KLINGER Shield HT Insulation Sets

KLINGER Shield HT insulation sets are used to limit corrosion in pipeline systems. Where dissimilar metals meet, the set electrically isolates the joint so the system cannot act as a galvanic cell, and it prevents the flow of electrostatic charge across cathodically protected piping.
Each set comprises a Shield HT insulation gasket, an insulating washer set and high-temperature insulation sleeves. The gasket uses Thermica facing — a compressed fibre of mica and synthetic fibres bound with NBR on a high-strength metallic core — giving high flexibility, continuous service to 350°C, excellent chemical compatibility and a 3xA anti-stick finish. Sets suit RTJ, raised face and even mismatched RF-to-RTJ flange combinations from Class 150 to 2500.
